Darth Vader Promises Bush Will Veto Card Check

Cheney was apparently wearing a pink tie when he made the veto threat. While a veto from this administration has always been very real possibility, it’s interesting to see the Bush Administration laying it out in a speech this early. It indicates that they expect to see the bill hit Bush’s desk.

President Bush will veto pending legislation aimed at boosting union strength, Vice President Cheney told National Association of Manufacturers members at a Wednesday breakfast meeting to kick off the group’s lobbying efforts.

The debate in the US House has just started and the debate in the Senate will be on the way shortly.
