You ARE making more of a difference than you realize! Enjoy your weekend -- use some of the time to do something you enjoy (and leave school at school... it'll be there when you get back)! Even though we'd love to reach all of them every time, it's just not possible. The reason you were told not to take it personally is that you'll always be judging yourself too harshly. If you reach most of the kids, you're way ahead of the game. Bottom line: Some kids, even at their tender ages, are already damaged goods. All you can do is to keep trying, in the hope), <i> but not the expectation, </i> that you might reach one or two of them.
