Just sign up again at the DoE. The chancellor is in a hiring mood.

There’s gotta be a comic. But seriously, I like the momentos.
Otherwise I’ll see what the PSC (my other AFT local) is offering.

I would be there but I’m too tired after sweating in summer school, coming back before Labor Day, and working the extra 37.5 minutes. I need time to recharge my batteries and be an effective teacher to my students. I’ll let you underworked, and overpaid (with my dues money) educrats do the marching for me.
Have a nice time!

I’d be there too, but I am too tired from my incessant bellyaching and constant carping about the union. Negativity takes work. I’ll leave marching up to all you folks with nothing better to do with your time than try to change things for the better.

Jonathan,
Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to your question off the top of my head. I’m pretty sure that you’ll be fine, but I suspect you’re asking for other teachers who are marching tomorrow. I want to say it’s a formality that I copied and pasted to the site and it deals with the snacks the different unions are bringing, but I can’t be 100% sure. I’ll try to get a better answer for you if I can.

HS SHOP TEACHER:
You are just an embarassment to all hard-working classroom teachers who try to do the best for their students.
When will you ever discuss the negative changes in the classroom due to the union pushed contract? Based upon your previous responses….I guess the answer is never!!!

It would be good for as many people as possible to come to the parade. Good turnout is good for teachers. I understand that most won’t come, but it would be better to be quiet about it. Reading excuses is annoying.
