The UFT on Jan. 4 launched a television ad campaign urging Mayor Michael Bloomberg to put politics aside and reach an agreement on a new teacher evaluation system.
The 30-second spot, titled “Moving Forward,” criticizes the mayor’s education record on topics ranging from misleading statistics and the failing schools opened by the mayor, to hiring Cathie Black as chancellor.

If Michael Bloomberg’s comments today equating the UFT to the NRA can’t serve as a rallying cry to end all pretense of cooperation with the DOE, just weeks after unionized teachers died protecting their students, what will. $250M is 1% of the budget and most of that money will be used to further the junk science method of destroying teaching careers. Our integrity should be work 1000X that amount.
