At noon on Saturday, May 30 striking Stella D’Oro workers and their supporters will rally in protest of the union-busting tactics of the cookie company owners, Brynwood Partners, a private equity firm. The rally flyer is here.
The rally will take place at the Stella D’Oro factory at Broadway and W 237th St. in the Bronx.
The workers are members of BCTGM Local 50. They have been on strike for over nine months.
On April 27, NYSUT members joined the picket line and presented the strikers with a $2,500 check for the strike fund. The UFT pledged its support back in October with a $5,000 contribution.
