Teachers at PS 114 in Brooklyn are speaking out about their school. In just a few weeks, the Panel for Education Policy will decide whether or not to close the building. As you will see, the staff makes a compelling case about why closure is absolutely the wrong thing to do.

Oh, PS 114 staff and students. My prayers go out to you. But while God may listen to your plea, the almighty mayor and his charters have no ears.
I learned at 114 as a child. I leaned there as a student teacher. I taught students there. I taught teachers there.
Now, after 100 years of history 114 will fall the way of many great schools whose only fault is not to be a charter …
