We Are All Alinskyites!

On Phi Beta Cons, a group blog of faux intellectuals of the academic far right, Candace de Russey launches the latest expose of Hillary Clinton — the content of her senior political science thesis at Wellesley. It was on the famed community organizer, Saul Alinsky, and Hillary had some complementary things to say about his organizing methods.

Now buckle up your seat belt for this ride. de Russey approvingly quotes a blog of a fellow ideologue of the far right, one Edward Cline of the Center for the Advancement of Capitalism. Cline compares Clinton and Alinsky to two characters in the Ayn Rand novel, Fountainhead. [No, we are not making this up: follow the hyperlinks.] On this basis, he concludes, to the great satisfaction of de Russey, that

Like Alinsky, like Toohey, she [Hillary] wishes to crush the individualist independence of Americans and replace it with dependence on the state – and she would be the state – chiefly because she has grown to fear and hate independence in anyone.

No matter how slickly “human” she presents her made-over self to the public in debates or during interviews, one can still detect in her the desire to kill in every American his integrity, self-respect, sense of values, the heroic, and happiness. When she left Wellesley, she decided to become the “star,” someone whom uncounted others would come to depend on and thank for that dependence.

This is a would-be dictator…

It’s time to ‘fess up. We have given favorable mention to Alinsky twice in recent times, here and here.

We are all Alinskyites, out to crush the individualist independence of Americans.

Now it’s two years on, and the Left has control of the government…do you all feel so much better now? Is the economy everything you wanted it to be? Is the nation safer, is our place in it more secure? Are all nations now holding hands and singing a non-committal, non-racist, multicultural, anthem? What about it? Think…Alinsky sure was a smart guy, huh? He helped get a “Glorious Leader” elected…did YOU get your part of the pay-off? All I can say is: Don’t blame me, I voted McCain! Here’s hoping I can keep my change, in my pocket…
